Lion’s Tail

I came upon the Lion’s Tail after making my Allspice Dram. It turns out to be a perfect winter cocktail: strong and sweet bourbon, spicy dram, and bright tropical lime. I’ve adjusted the original recipe to fully embrace the dram and simplify things. It can be served up or on the rocks.

1 cocktail

2 oz bourbon
1 oz allspice dram
¾ oz lime juice, freshly squeezed

Combine all ingredients in a shaker, add ice and shake for 15 seconds.
Pour over fresh ice in a glass or serve in a chilled coupe.
